I used to be …
I was likeable and always made friends easily; outgoing, but I was also loud, and willing to lie, told coarse jokes and was a bit of a womanizer. I also had anger issues.
I was headed for …
A sad life. I was chasing riches, girls, and popularity. I believed in but did not follow God, and did what I thought was right. I would probably have fathered a child out of wedlock, and/or have a broken marriage.
But God …
I can now see that God was protecting me all along! Even as a wild youth, He kept me safe. My parents started me on the right path, but God used friends like John Anderson and Al Way to help me begin to look to Him to lead my life. When I injured my knee at 17, God used that to show me that He is real–that He does miracles. When I finally read the Bible – looking to prove it wrong–I learned that it is the truth of God. His patient, trustworthy love won my heart. He placed me on the right path and keeps me on it.
Today …
God is my everything! He guides me in this uncertain world, blessing me with a great marriage and good friends. He keeps us safe. He blesses the business He gave us and provides for all our needs! This is my story. Your story is different. I made mistakes in my life, but God loved me. He loves you. Jesus sacrifice covers every wrong you’ve ever done. Just accept His forgiveness. Just believe.
